Webinar #11 – What can ROS do for my industrial robots?

ROS (Robot Operating System) has established itself as a must-have for facilitating software development for complex robots. ROS is a modular, interoperable, flexible and extensible environment designed to speed up and facilitate the work of engineering teams. As the opensource community is constantly expanding and enriching ROS, it can be difficult for manufacturers to appreciate its scope, its ins and outs.

This is precisely the aim of this 11th episode of our monthly webinar series. Identify the different use cases and how you can integrate ROS into your business to boost productivity and profitability.

Yoan Mollard, robotics engineer for EirLab Community, begins by explaining how ROS works and its various uses. Philippe Capdepuy, Technical Director at Génération Robots, then takes the floor to talk about his experience. Génération Robots has integrated and used ROS for one of its projects. The feedback has been more than positive. Through his feedback, he discusses the strengths and weaknesses of ROS in this concrete industrial application.
